EVNNPC’s electrical output in first seven months up 9.16%

The electrical output of the Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC) in the first seven months of 2019 increased 9.16% compared with the same period of last year, the company has announced.

In July alone, the company’s commercial electricity output reached 6.659 billion kWh, up 10.84% year on year.

EVNNPC said the power loss ratio was estimated 5.29% in July and 5.17% in the January-July period, down 0.05 percentage points from the same period of 2018.

The SAIDI, which measures the average outage duration, was 65.3 minutes while the SAIFI, which measures the average number of interruptions was 0.47.

Another reliability factor MAIFI, which measures the average number of momentary interruptions, was 0.04.

In July, EVNNPC put 11 projects into service with an additional capacity of 380MVA, they completed 15.86 kilometres of 110kV transmission lines, and launched construction on several other transmission projects.

In late June and early July, northern Vietnam experienced prolonged heatwaves but EVNNPC managed to ensure safe and stable power supply to its business and household customers in 27 provinces and cities.
