The centre, named Doveco Gia Lai, covers a total area of 6 hectares and was designed with a total capacity of 52,000 tonnes of products per year.

It is comprised of three automated production lines using modern technology from Japan, Italy and Sweden: one for manufacturing concentrated and natural fruit juices, another for frozen fruits and vegetables, and the last for canned fruits and vegetables.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Quoc Doanh said that with the inauguration of the centre, the Dong Giao Foodstuff Export JSC would continue to accompany farmers in the Central Highland provinces in processing and consumption of agricultural products, particularly the fruits of the region’s strengths.

With its completion, the Deveco Gia Lai centre will help Gia Lai province stabilise an area of 10,000 hectares of fruit trees in 2020 as well as link farmers with businesses, contributing to improving the position of agricultural products of the Central Highland region.
