Up to now, the agency has abolished and simplified 62 administrative procedures out of a total of 76, equivalent to 81.6% of the procedures under its charge.
Of these, two administrative procedures were abolished, seven were implemented entirely in online form at level 4 and connected to the national one-stop system. In addition, there are 25 administrative procedures carried out via the internet in the form of online public services at level 3.
At the same time, the agency has simplified 28 administrative procedures through reducing the composition of dossiers and shortening the time of licencing.
The agency also said that by the start of October, there will be nine additional administrative procedures under its authority officially conducted directly at level 3 on the online Public Service Portal of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. These procedures are regarding automatic import licencing of cigarettes, amending and extending certificates of registration of the export and import rights of foreign traders without a presence in Vietnam, and re-issuing automobile import business licences.
In online forms at level 3 and 4, traders send dossiers of application for licences to the agency and receive results via the internet or postal services, thereby shortening the time to apply for a licence and minimising expenses incurred in import and export activities.
Currently, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and its agency are applying nationwide a system of electronic C/O declaration and C/O issuance via the internet, with the carrying time for C/O issuance only from 2-4 working hours, even one hour for shipments exported by air.
