The total volume of goods through the port in 2019 reached about 9,027 million tonnes, up nearly 9% compared to 2018; revenue reached more than VND 782 billion, up more than 9% over that in 2018; and profits reached more than VND 128 billion, 7% higher than the same period of 2018.
The port has submitted VND56 billion to the budget, creating stable income for 830 employees, at an average of VND 12-13 million per month.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ho Quoc Dung, Chairman of Binh Dinh People's Committee emphasized that Binh Dinh will continue to support and create the best conditions for Quy Nhon Port Joint Stock Company to develop in accordance with the orientation of the Party and State.
In the coming times, it is expected that Quy Nhon port will actively contribute to the implementation of the planning of Quy Nhon - Nhon Hoi - Thi Nai - Tan Cang - Dong Da port cluster on a large-scale in the system of Vietnam's seaport, and in the Southeast Asia region.
