Accordingly, key tasks and solutions will be continued to be implemented to improve the business environment and enhance national competitiveness in 2019 with orientation to 2021. The resolution’s main targets are to raise the country’s position in international rankings of the WB, WEF, WIPO and the UN.
In particular in 2020, Vietnam strives towards raising the Ease of Doing Business ranking - EoDB (WB) by 10 steps; the Global Competitiveness ranking - GCI 4.0 (WEF) by 5 steps; the Global Innovation ranking - GII (WIPO) by 3-4 steps; and the E-Government Development ranking (UN) by 10-15 steps.
The Resolution also pointed out major tasks and solutions to improve business environment and enhance national competitiveness in 2020, including enhancing responsibilities of the ministries assigned to monitor the improvement of indexes and ministries assigned and responsible for indexes and sub-indexes; continuing to remove and simplify regulations on business conditions; continuing to implement a comprehensive reform of specialised management, inspection and connection of the National Single Window; promoting electronic payment and online public service delivery at level 4; and developing an innovative ecosystem to support and encourage creative start-ups.
