Hanoi: Tax revenue hits over VND105.7 trillion in six months

The tax sector’s state budget revenue in the first 6 months of 2020 has been estimated at VND105.751 trillion (US$4.55 billion), equal to 99.6% of the figure of the same period last year, as announced by the Hanoi Taxation Department on June 16.

The Hanoi Tax Department has promptly implemented policies in order to support organisations, enterprises, business households and taxpayers affected by the COVID-19 epidemic in the city.

As of June 15, 28,968 enterprises and 2,859 business households have implemented procedures to request an extension of their tax payment and land rental terms in accordance with Decree No.41 of the Government.

Along with that, the Department has also stepped up itsinspection work after the tax refund in order to boost the recovery of outstanding tax debts, combat tax losses of e-commerce enterprises and online business activities, especially social networks.

In the first 6 months, the sector was estimated to have performed 7,650 inspections, reaching 40% of the planand up 5% over the same period last year.
