Vietnamese goods displayed at 40 AEON supermarkets in Japan

The Vietnamese Embassy in Japan in partnership with Japanese AEON Group are organising a Vietnam Fair at 40 AEON supermarkets across Japan from September 11-13.

The event aims to create conditions for Vietnamese enterprises to promote their goods to Japanese consumersand expand trade relations with Japanese partners, particularly the importers of the AEON Group, therebybringing more Vietnamese goods into the Japanese retail system.

The event is part of the project to materialise the commitment signed between the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the AEON Group in order to bring Vietnam’s export revenue of goods into the AEON system to US$500 million in 2020 and US$1 billion by 2025.

Vietnamese goods on display include garment and textile products, agricultural and aquatic products, processed food, consumer goods, furniture, handicrafts and technology products.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Vu Hong Nam expressed his thanks to the Japanese group for coordinating with the Vietnamese side to successfully organise the Vietnamair in Japan since 2016 while proposing AEON continue creating favourable conditions to for Vietnamese goods to join the supply system of the group.

The diplomat also thanked AEON for importing and distributing Vietnamese lychee, noting that the Vietnamese Embassy will continue to work with authorized agencies from both sides to export the Vietnamese longan to Japan and bring the Japanese tangerine to Vietnam.
