Hosted by the city’s Department of Industry and Trade, this year’s event is among the activities celebrating the 1010th anniversary of Thang Long – Hanoi, the 66th Liberation Day of the capital city, and the success of the 17th Congress of the Hanoi Party Organisation for the 2020-2025 tenure.

Over its past eight editions, the annual event has become established as a venue for participating handicraft businesses and makers to display their products and seek trading opportunities while promoting the connectivity between domestic and foreign firms in the industry.

Visitors to the event are also provided with an opportunity to shop high-quality products which meet international standards, thus contributing to nurturing the Government’s programme on stimulating domestic consumption.

It has brought together more than 1,950 businesses and firms from Hanoi and nearly 40 cities and provinces nationwide, as well as 5,200 importers from 45 countries and territories around the world.

More than 600 contracts, memoranda of understanding and agreements have been inked with a total value of US$50 million.

The 2019 fair attracted more than 250 domestic and international businesses, showcasing their products across 650 booths.

This year’s event will last until October 18 and is expected to welcome more than 10,000 visitors and earn a goods export value of US$ 6.6 million.
