State budget revenue reaches nearly VND600 trillion in first five months of 2021

As of May 15, the total revenue of the State budget reached VND599.7 trillion (over US$26.03 billion), equivalent to 44.6% of the yearly estimate, according to the General Statistics Office of Vietnam.

Of this figure, domestic revenue totalled VND496 trillion, fulfilling 43.6% of the year’s target, while State budget collections from exports reached VND89.5 trillion, accounting for 50.1% of the year’s target.

Domestic revenue collected from State-owned enterprises reached VND60.2 trillion, 40.6% of the estimate, while budget collections from foreign-invested enterprises (excluding crude oil) reached VND93 trillion, fulfilling 46.7% of the 2020 target.

Revenue from land use tax reached VND59 trillion, equal to 53% of the yearly estimate.

Meanwhile, total State budget expenditure in the first five months of the year has been estimated at VND517.5 trillion, 36.7% of the year’s estimate. Of this figure, recurrent expenditure accounted for VND380.6 trillion, fulfilling 36.7% of the estimate.

Development and investment expenditure was at VND93.7 trillion, 19.6% of the estimate.
