Conference promotes Franco-Vietnamese-Japanese cultural and educational exchanges

An international conference themed “Franco-Vietnamese-Japanese cultural and educational exchanges: history and evolution” officially opened at Hue University in the central province of Thua Thien Hue on November 3.

The conference offers an opportunity for researchers and scientists from various universities and organisations in Vietnam, France and Japan to review the cultural and educational achievements of the three countries as well as the lessons learned so they may be applied in educational reform and cultural cooperation.

This is also the chance for Vietnamese and international scientists to exchange and cooperate in scientific research in the near future while further enhancing cooperation among scientists from Vietnam, France and Japan.

The conference received more than 70 scientific reports focusing on six topics, including the themes of the relationship between Vietnamese and French literatures and between Vietnamese and Japanese literatures; the cultural imprints of France, Vietnam and Japan in the fields of language, communications, arts and tourism in Vietnam; Franco-Vietnamese-Japanese cultural and educational exchanges; Franco-Vietnamese cultural and educational exchanges; and Japanese-Vietnamese cultural and educational exchanges.

In addition to the main session, the conference consists of seven others with various themes.

The conference is scheduled to conclude on November 4.
