NDO/VNA – Nomination of the art of Xoe dance of Thai ethnic minority people of Vietnam as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity will be discussed at the 16th session of the UNESCO's Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage that is taking place from December 13-18. 

NDO/VNA - Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam has signed a decision approving a programme on the digitalisation of Vietnam’s cultural heritage in the 2021-30 period. 

NDO/VNA – The Institute of Social Sciences Information (ISSI) under the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS) on November 25 held an international scientific conference to seek ways to unlock potential of the photo archives of the French School of the Far East (EFEO) at ISSI.

NDO – The Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports has received relics from the house where President Ho Chi Minh lived and worked in December 1946 in Van Phuc ward, Ha Dong district. 

NDO/VNA – A collection of bronze items belonging to Dong Son culture (c. 5th-1st century BC) - a Bronze Age culture in ancient Vietnam in the north and north central regions - is being on display at an exhibition that officially opened at Barbier-Mueller museum in Switzerland on September 28.

This place used to be a heroic stronghold in the uprisings and long-term resistance wars of the nation. The enemy used to fully exploit the resources of this rich land, but they also borrowed the rugged terrain as a place to exile patriots and loyal communists. Therefore, the Central Highlands is a land with a fairly dense concentration of historical relics. 

NDO/VNA - A project called Cultural Space of Quoc Tu Giam, or Imperial Academy, has been launched by the Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam Culture and Science Centre, aiming to popularize the national special relic’s historic and cultural values. 

NDO - Following the direction of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee, the Management Board of Oc Eo Cultural Relic announced and introduced the entire contents of the plans for preserving and restoring the Oc Eo - Ba The special national relic site, as shared by Nguyen Huu Gieng, Director of the Management Board of Oc Eo Cultural Relic, on September 7. 

NDO – Michael Croft, UNESCO Chief Representative in Vietnam, has been awarded the 'For the Cause of Culture, Sports and Tourism' medal by Vietnam's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for his contributions to the development of cooperation relations between Vietnam and UNESCO as well as the conservation and promotion of cultural values in Vietnam. 

NDO/VNA – The Treasure Evaluation Council of Quang Nam province and the Management Board of My Son World Cultural Heritage Site on August 10 approved a scientific dossier of My Son A10 pedestal at the heritage site, and agreed to submit the dossier to seek recognition of the pedestal as a national treasure. 

NDO – A contest to design the logo, recognition mark and identity set for Vietnamese lacquer art was launched by the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on July 16.
