The approximately 120 photos on display capture the land and people of different places in Vietnam chosen for filming by both domestic and foreign film makers. These documentary photos have been archived by the VFI.

In the belief that cinematography will contribute to boosting cultural exchanges among countries, the organiser wanted to advertise the natural beauty and people of Vietnam to international friends, thus promoting the country’s tourism sector.

All of the photos and exhibition space will be uploaded on the VFI’s official website, Facebook page and YouTube channel for online visitors.

The exhibition will last until June 27 at 523 Kim Ma street, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi. It is being held within the framework of the 25th conference of the Southeast Asia-Pacific Audiovisual Archive Association (SEAPAVAA), being hosted by the VFI from June 23 to 25.

Themed “Audiovisual Archiving in Changing Times: Successes, Failures, and Challenges”, the event will see the participation of representatives from 33 film and audiovisual archive organizations of 23 SEAPAVAA member countries and territories, and those from SEAPAVAA member countries’ embassies, foreign cultural centres and other international organisations in Hanoi.
