Fine arts exhibition extols beloved President Ho Chi Minh

A total of 48 fine art works featuring the images of belove President Ho Chi Minh are on display at an exhibition entitled “Uncle Ho – Crystallisation of the nation’s soul” which officially opened the Ho Chi Minh Museum’s branch in Thua Thien Hue Province on September 1.

The exhibits were selected from various artworks by many painters, sculptors, officials and students from Hue Arts University, Thua Thien Hue Fine Arts Association and the Provincial Department of Culture and Sports.

In addition to traditional materials such as lacquer, oil paint, silk and acrylics, the works were also created using new and modern materials including nails and zinc films.

The exhibits reflected the temperament of the great leader as well as his noble human spirit ideals, aspiration for national independence and revolutionary life.

Through the exhibition, Thua Thien Hue’s artists wish to express their respect and gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh while inspiring the pride and determination to study and follow his thought, morality and lifestyle among Vietnamese people.

Following the opening ceremony, all displayed works will be photographed in 360 degrees and turned into an online exhibition which will be hosted on the websites, fanpages and Facebook pages of the Ho Chi Minh Museum, the Department of Culture and Sports and Hue Arts University.

On the occasion, the organising board and arts council presented awards to three most outstanding artworks including “Uncle Ho’s House on Stilts” by Truong Cong Duc, “Trust of the nation” by Le Phan Quoc and “Portrait of President Ho Chi Minh” by Nguyen Phuoc Vinh Ton.
