The contest is open to readers over six years old across the country.

The contest was launched in May 2021 to encourage reading habits among Vietnamese people and promote reading culture in the community.

It was open to readers over six years old who are studying, working and living in Vietnam. The entrants were requested to create videos between 5 and 10 mins in length to introduce and share their feelings about the books that have made positive impacts on them.

The organising board received more than 3,000 entries and selected 2,000 of them to enter the voting round, which will be made public for voters until September 20, 2021.

Accordingly, voters should visit and subscribe to the ‘Sach Va Tri Tue Viet’ YouTube Channel via bit.ly/sachvatritueviet and vote for their favourite video in the channel’s playlist entitled ‘Cuoc Thi Cuon Sach Toi Yeu’ (‘The Book I Love’ Contest).

The voting results will be scored based on the number of views, likes, and shares on each video and the results will serve as the basis for the organising board to evaluate and award the winning entries.

One special prize, three first prizes, six second prizes, 10 third prizes, and 20 consolation prizes will be given to the most outstanding video clips.

The contest’s winners will be announced on the YouTube channel and the award ceremony is scheduled for November in Hanoi depending on the COVID-19 situation.
