Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Mexico Nguyen Hoanh Nam expressed his hope that the exhibition will help Mexican people gain further understanding about Vietnam, thus contributing to fostering friendship and solidarity between the two countries.

The total of 30 photos on display feature the natural beauty and daily life of Vietnamese people as well as the country’s achievements in its Doi Moi (Renewal) and development process.

For her part, Mexico City Culture Minister Vannesa Bohorquez Lopez affirmed that through the exhibits, city dwellers can admire the charming nature, friendly people, culinary culture and peaceful atmosphere of Vietnam.

The exhibition is one of the activities to celebrate the 46th anniversary of the two countries' diplomatic ties (May 19, 1975-2021) and the 76th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day (September 2, 1945 - 2021).

Running until September 30, the event expects to attract millions of visitors.
