The event was the first concert held as part of the Jalsat Nights music series, being held from October 2021 to March 2022 to introduce the music of both the UAE and countries around the world.

Participating the event, Vietnamese Meritorious Artist Le Giang performed the Dan bau (Monochord), one of Vietnam’s major traditional musical instruments, to accompany singer Aseel Abu Baker with the exciting melodies of the ‘Gedar Gedar’ song.

Talking about the show, Meritorious Artist Le Giang said she was very grateful to be warmly welcomed by the organisers and foreign colleagues, and to share the stage with the famous singer Aseel Abu Baker.

“By performing our traditional musical instruments, the participating artists have harmonised together to create a symphony of friendship and connection,” she shared.

As a lecturer at the Vietnam National Academy of Music, Le Giang has over 30 years of experience working with the monochord. She has participated in the previous World Expo event in Shanghai, China (2010); Yeosu, the Republic of Korea (2012); Milan, Italy (2015), and Astana, Kazakhstan (2017).
