National Book Award finalists showcased at Ho Chi Minh City Book Street

Twenty-four finalists of the fourth National Book Award 2021 are being displayed at the Ho Chi Minh City Book Street from November 16-28 to introduce outstanding books to readers as well as honour writers and publishers.

Notably, 12 of the 24 award-winning works belong to publishers and book companies who are running book booths at the book street, including Ho Chi Minh City General Publishing House, Tre Publishing House, Kim Dong Publishing House, Nha Nam Culture and Communication JSC, Alpha Book JSC, and others.

On the occasion, books for children winning the National Book Award for four years from 2018 to 2021 are also showcased at the book street.

In addition, more than 700 book titles for primary school level were selected by teachers and the Vietnam Publishing Association to be exhibited at the book street on the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20).

Various promotional programmes and discounts of up to 70% will be offered for readers during the book exhibition.

Within the framework of the book exhibition, AZ Gallery will hold a painting exhibition from November 21-28 to showcase 63 paintings by children from 63 provinces and cities nationwide on the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
