First Environmental Latin American Film Festival to be held in Hanoi

The first Latin American Film Festival on the topic of the environment will be held in Vietnam in September with the participation of Spanish-speaking cinemas, according to the Embassy of Spain.

First Secretary of the Embassy of Spain in Vietnam Oriol Sola Pardell said that the Latin American Film Festival on the environment with the participation of about 12 to 13 films in various genres, from documentaries, animation and science to feature films on environmental topics.

This is an event organised by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation in collaboration with Eunic. Many representatives of Italian, French, Brazilian and Irish cinema have confirmed their attendance.

Film festival is called “The Time is now - Let’s celebrate the nature”. Participating films will be screened at cultural agencies of some countries such as Goethe-Institut Vietnam and Casa Italia. Films will be screened in two forms, directly and online.

Oriol Sola Pardell also said that, within the framework of the festival, there were also two conferences on environmental topics. The film festival highlights the role of women in protecting the environment, as well as the importance of ecological diversity in protecting public health.

It is expected that the Latin American Film Festival on the topic of the environment will take place in Hanoi next September.
