The book is a collection of poems which were implemented by calligraphy artisan Vu Dang Hoc.

The 209-page book, which was hand-crafted on threaded paper, has dimensions of 1.8m x 1.4m and weights about 500kg.

The book consists of two main parts: famous works of Nguyen Dinh Chieu, and poems written by following generations to praise and express their feelings about the celebrity.

The book was created for over 5 months and presented to Ben Tre Province in June 2022 on the occasion of the 200th birthday anniversary of Nguyen Dinh Chieu.

The Vietnam Record Organisation (VietKings) officially set a Vietnamese record while the World Records Union (Worldkings) set a world record for calligrapher Vu Dang Hoc and Nguyen Dinh Chieu Library in Ben Tre with two categories, including the author of the largest poem book “Nguyen Dinh Chieu thi tuyen” in Vietnamese calligraphy and the largest calligraphy poem book “Nguyen Dinh Chieu thi tuyen”, respectively.

The book aims to honour the great career of Nguyen Dinh Chieu, who was a patriotic physician, a teacher and a poet, while educating on patriotism and raising awareness on preserving and promoting national cultural identities among people from all strata.
