Co-organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the People's Committee of Bac Ninh Province, the event attracted 26 mass art troupes representing workers and labours from 24 provinces and cities.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung affirmed that, during the resistance war for national salvation as well as in the process of building the country, the image of resilient workers in battle, as well as enthusiasm and creativity in production labour, has entered poetry and music through immortal songs. The singing of workers and labours has entered the history of the mass cultural and artistic movement.

The organising board presented flowers to the participating teams.

The contest is a cultural and artistic activity of practical significance, demonstrating the political determination of the entire cultural industry to carry out the task of "reinvigorating and stepping up cultural development" under the direction of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, marking the 110th birthday of General Secretary Nguyen Van Cu (July 9, 1912 - 2022) and the 93rd founding anniversary of Vietnam's Trade Union (July 28, 1929-2022).

The event brings spiritual value, enriches the revolutionary will, honours the strength of great solidarity for workers and labourers across the country, while promoting and developing the mass art movement across the country in general.

The event features many performances of songs, dances and music that are carefully staged and rehearsed, bearing the colours of each locality while praising the homeland, the country, the Party, and Uncle Ho as well as the beauty of the workers, the working class and the enthusiastic spirit of labour, production, study and work in the process of national construction and development.

The closing ceremony and awarding ceremony will be held at Kinh Bac Cultural Centre, Bac Ninh city on the evening of July 9.
