NDO – An art programme was held in Hoa Binh province on July 31 to promote the land, people and culture of the province to visitors both at home and abroad.

The event brought to the stage art performances praising the history, tradition and diverse culture of the land and people of the northwest region and Hoa Binh province in particular.

At the programme, the Hoa Binh provincial authorities received certificates honouring the traditional ‘Khai ha’ festival and ‘Doi’ calendar of the Muong ethnic people throughout the province as national intangible cultural heritages.

She also praised the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, scientists, and researchers for completing the dossiers of the two recently-recognised heritages.

A carnival festival was organised earlier the same day, featuring a flower parade, folk games, and the reproduction of traditional rituals of six ethnic groups in Hoa Binh province.
