Running throughout August, the programme has gathered the participation of more than 100 people from 13 ethnic groups, and 20 Co Tu ethnic people from Thua Thien Hue Province.

The Co Tu ethnic participants will stage a cultural day on August 20 and 21, introducing visitors to their traditional ‘tung tung ya ya’ dance, traditional musical performances, and brocade weaving craft.

Notably, the A Rieu A Za, which is a traditional festival to welcome new rice season of Co Thu people in Nam Dong District, Thua Thien Hue Province, will be reproduced on the occasion.

Within the framework of the programme, children can take part in a painting contest on the beauty of Vietnam’s rural areas, taste signature dishes, and try their hands at making traditional musical instruments, making wine, or picking tea leaves.

There are also exciting folk games of Vietnamese ethnic groups, such as 'pao' (cloth ball) throwing, playing 'yen' (badminton) of the H’Mong people, ‘to ma le’ (throwing seeds of 'ma le' fruit) of the Thai people, stilt walking, bamboo pole dancing, and tug of war.
