Art exhibition pays tribute to General Giap

Nhan Dan – More than 100 photos honouring General Vo Nguyen Giap are now on display at the Exhibition House at No.45 Trang Tien street in Hanoi.

The photos, selected from thousands of black & white and colour photos of General Vo Nguyen Giap during the revolutionary period and various historic moments taken by domestic and foreign photographers.

The exhibition also features many art works in other media, like a bronze bust of the General and a Chu Dau pottery vase engraved with his signature, as well as a number of portraits of the General painted by famous artists.

Additonally, a series of books on General Giap, written by the General himself as well as by other domestic and international writers, are also on display.

At a distance of 100 days since the General Giap’s death, the exhibition offers an opportunity for visitors to know more about the General’s life and his resounding revolutionary activities.

The exhibition, held from January 1-7 by Vietnam Association of Historical Sciences (VAHS), the Vietnam Craft Village Association and Quang Binh Association of fellow-countrymen in Hanoi, attracted scores of visitors on its first day.
