This is the fourth time that such an event has been held at the MGIMO, which also offers students of Vietnamese studies to learn more about traditional Vietnamese customs, as well as helping to strengthen the ties between Vietnamese and Russian students.

Activities include a contest on Vietnamese culture for foreign students, a photo exhibition, arts performances, and a souvenir and food fair, which were greatly enjoyed by both teachers and students.

Nguyen Huyen Trang, a Vietnamese student, said that this year the organisers tried to show the beauty and diversity of Vietnamese culture to the foreign students, while bringing youthfulness to the Vietnamese Day.

Svetlana Glazunova, a Vietnamese language lecturer at the MGIMO, said that she very much enjoyed the activities during Vietnamese Day.

She added that the day is an important opportunity for students of Vietnam and other countries to learn more about each other and thanks to such activities, Russian students will have a stronger interest in learning the Vietnamese language.
