The exhibition is one of the activities held under the framework of the cultural exchange and cooperation programme between Vietnam and Algeria.

Oil painting works by Vietnamese painter Nguyen Minh Son that are on display at the exhibition help to introduce the natural landscapes across Vietnam to local viewers, including those highlighting the beauty of Hoi An ancient city in central Quang Nam province, Ha Long Bay in Quang Ninh province, and Sword Lake in the capital city of Hanoi.

In his speech at the opening ceremony, Ambassador Pham Quoc Tru highlighted the significance of the event, saying that it aims to promote the painting art of Vietnam, especially modern paintings.

The activity is hoped to help locals to gain an insight into the Vietnamese culture and people, thus contributing to enhancing the Vietnam-Algeria relationship and the friendship between the Vietnamese and Algerian people, he stressed.
