Speaking at a press conference in Hanoi on August 16, Vice Chairman of Quang Nam provincial People’s Committee, Tran Van Tan, said that the event aims to promote the traditional cultural values and tourism in the central region, as well as the diversity and unity of Vietnamese ethnic groups.

It also seeks to raise awareness on safeguarding and upholding culture among the local communities.

In addition to folk songs and dances, visitors at the programme will have an opportunity to explore the traditional festivals and cultural practices of ethnic groups in the region, while also tasting their signature dishes.

Tourist products and the tangible and intangible cultural heritages of the 13 participating localities will also be introduced to visitors on the occasion.
