Classical concert to bring Ravel and Debussy to the ears of Hanoi

A concert of classical music starring violinist Stephane Tran Ngoc and pianist Tran Thai Linh will take place on September 1 at L’Espace French Cultural Centre at No. 24 Trang Tien Street, Hanoi.

They will perform the works of Claude Debussy, Maurice Ravel and Cesar Franck. Born in Paris and raised in the world’s cradle of music, violinist Stephane Tran Ngoc soon made a name for himself on the world’s classical music scene.

Appreciated for his compassionate, sophisticated manner of playing, he has performed in many famous concert halls in more than 30 countries.

He was one of the youngest lecturers in violin at the National Conservatory of Music and Dance in Lyon (France) before leaving to teach at the Lawrence Academy of Music in the US and subsequently being promoted to Head of Strings at the London College of Music in the UK.

Pianist Tran Thai Linh graduated from the National Academy of Music in Vietnam and Saint Leo University in Australia.
