Concert marks 45 years of Vietnam-Japan ties

A special concert marking the 45th anniversary of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations was held at the Hanoi Opera House on September 7,in the presence of President Tran Dai Quang and his spouse.

After the two countries’ national anthems, the audience enjoyed famous musical pieces from around the world performed by artists of the NHK Symphony Orchestra.

The concert also featured famous German violinist Christian Tetzlaff, while the orchestra was led by Japanese conductor Michiyoshi Inoue.

The concert was part of a series of activities celebrating 45 years of bilateral diplomatic relations.

A similar concert took place in Ho Chi Minh City on September 5.

The Vietnam - Japan bilateral relationship is now in its best period in history since the establishment of diplomatic relationship 45 years ago. The senior leaders of the two sides have maintained regular visits and meetings at international and regional forums.

The bilateral partnership in security-defence, agriculture, education-training, and labour has also been fruitful. People-to-people exchanges, and cultural and tourism affiliation have also seen strong development.
