ASEAN photo and documentary film exhibition opens in Cao Bang

An exhibition of photos and reportage-documentary films on the ASEAN Community was launched by the Ministry of Information and Communications in the northern province of Cao Bang on September 7.

The event is showcasing 500 photos, including 300 photos on ASEAN and 200 photos featuring Cao Bang, in addition to 60 reportage-documentary films on the ASEAN Community. In particular, the exhibition also presents the common stamps and seals of the ASEAN countries.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of Cao Bang provincial People’s Committee, Nguyen Trung Thao, affirmed that the event is an opportunity to increase the cooperation between Vietnam and thee ASEAN countries and also a chance for the local people of Cao Bang to learn about the cultural values, land and people of the ASEAN Community.

The exhibition is also an opportunity for Cao Bang to introduce to international friends its potential, advantages, investment opportunities and its socio-economic situation, Thao added.

After the three-day exhibition, all of the photos and films will be presented to Cao Bang province to continue conveying information on the ASEAN Community.

The event, which is the first international photo exhibition of its kind in Cao Bang, will run until September 9.
