The information was released at a press conference in Hanoi on December 11.

Visitors at the festival will have a chance to walk on streets that are designed in the French style with brilliant lights.

Notably, an art programme will be held with more than 30 unique performances by renowned Vietnamese and French singers, bands and artists.

In addition, typical French food, cosmetics, furniture and technological products will be introduced at over 60 pavilions by well-known restaurants and enterprises.

The festival will also feature a wide variety of other activities, including the screening of French animated films, a photo exhibition on France, street art performances and an environmental protection campaign.

On December 16, a workshop themed ‘French football – World Cup 2018’s current champion’ will be organised by the Promotion Fund for Vietnamese Football Talent (PVF) within the framework of the festival.

Speaking at the press conference, French Ambassador to Vietnam, Bertrand Lortholary, emphasised that the event will bring Vietnamese people closer to France.

The festival is part of the activities to mark the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties (1973-2018) and five years of the strategic partnership (2013-2018) between Vietnam and France.
