With over 150 images, documents and selected artifacts, the exhibition is divided into three parts. The first part introduces numerous pictures of President Ho Chi Minh and generations of Party and State leaders visiting the Lang Son border guards through the periods. The second part showcases the image of the Lang Son Border Guard and the people protecting the national border sovereignty (1959-1979). The content of the third part (from 1979 to present) helps visitors to understand patrolling, protecting and mobilising people and coordinating with other countries in building a border of peace, cooperation and friendship.
Meanwhile, the film week will screen a historical film on Lang Son Border Guards. Thereby, the film will also arouse the pride of solidarity of the nation, the sense of self-reliance in the people and the whole army, especially the young generation, in protecting the national border sovereignty.
The events will run until March 5, 2019.
On the same day, the Naval Armed Service coordinated with Cao Bang provincial Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism to open an exhibition with the theme "Sea, Island and naval soldiers". The photo exhibition introduces over 200 photos, maps, documents, artifacts, images of maritime and island sovereignty and naval soldiers
The exhibition is considered as a practical activity to raise awareness of people in Cao Bang province on the protection of the sovereignty of the country, and to honour the efforts of naval soldiers in protecting the sea and islands. The exhibition runs until February 26.
