Opened on May 5, the exhibition is the largest of its kind to be held in Thanh Hoa - one of the cradles of the intangible cultural values of the Vietnamese people - to mark the 990th anniversary of the province’s naming.

Featuring over 10,000 photos, documents and objects collected by the organisers, units and individuals, the event highlights Thanh Hoa’s history and development from the prehistoric and semi-feudal colonial time, to the struggle for national liberation and the Doi Moi (renovation) periods.

The five-day exhibition aims to help the public better understand the land and people of Thanh Hoa in the history of national construction and defence, as well as better understanding the name “Thanh Hoa”, with multiple images, documents and artefacts published for the first time.

During his trip to the north central province, PM Phuc is expected to attend a celebration to mark the 990th Anniversary of Thanh Hoa later this evening.
