The event was jointly held by the Ho Chi Minh Museum and Laos’ Kaysone Phomvihane Museum, as part of activities marking the Lao late President Souphanouvong’s 110th birthday anniversary (July 13, 1909-2019).
On display were nearly 100 photos, documents and artifacts that highlighted the deep sentiments of the late President Souphanouvong with Vietnamese people, showing the long-term friendship between the two neigbouring countries.
The exhibits were divided into three parts, with the first introducing the important milestones in the life of Prince Souphanouvong when he studied and worked in Vietnam.
The second part, themed ‘Close to the Vietnamese and Lao revolutionary cause - Tightening the faithful friendship’ (1945-1995), featured the photos and documents highlighting the diplomatic ties, solidarity and cooperation between the two countries that were built up and nurtured by President Ho Chi Minh and Lao Presidents Kaysone Phomvihane and Souphanouvong.
With the theme of ‘Vietnam - Laos special friendship will be forever green’, the third part spotlighted the efforts made by the leaders and people from the two nations to enhance the bilateral cooperation in all fields, for the development and prosperity of the two sides.
The exhibition will last until the end of August.
