Special art programme commemorates President Ho Chi Minh

A live art programme entitled “No end of love” was held simultaneously at the Kim Lien national relic site in Nghe An province, at Nha Rong Wharf in Ho Chi Minh City and at the Theatre House of the Voice of Vietnam in Hanoi on the evening of August 21 to mark the 50-year implementation of President Ho Chi Minh’s Testament.

The event, which was organised by the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) in coordination with Nghe An central province and Ho Chi Minh City, saw the presence of Politburo member and Permanent member of the Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong, Politburo member and Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue, Politburo member and Head of the Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission Nguyen Van Binh, and Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh, among others.

The programme bears significant political meaning in honouring the immortal value of President Ho Chi Minh’s Testament towards the cause of national construction and defence, Party building and strengthening of the national unity bloc.

The event featured well-known songs about President Ho Chi Minh, affirming the affection and deep gratitude of Vietnamese people towards the beloved Father.

Short dramas, documentary records and reportage films depicting historical stories of Uncle Ho's life and great revolutionary career were also showcased within the programme.

*The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province has recently opened a mass art festival, entitled “Uncle Ho lives forever with the Central Highlands”, in Buon Ma Thuot City to mark the 74th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day and the 50-year implementation of President Ho Chi Minh’s Testament.

The event attracted the participation of more than 600 local artists and workers from 18 art troupes across the province. 97 song and dance performances were showcased at the festival, praising the Party and Uncle Ho and featuring the love for the motherland.

*The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCMCYU) of Hanoi held a festival on August 21 to praise outstanding Secretaries of the HCMCYU branches in the Red River Delta region in 2019.
