The translations were done by young translators of the KNU’s Institute of Philology.

Speaking at a ceremony to introduce the book on September 9, Vietnamese Ambassador to Ukraine Nguyen Tuan Anh stated that the book is a window into the world of the Vietnamese language, the soul of the Vietnamese people, and the long history and traditions of Vietnam.

He thanked the KNU staff, especially Vietnamese language lecturers and young translators for making a major contribution to strengthening the Vietnam-Ukraine relationship.

For his part, KNU Vice Rector Bekh Petro said he highly appreciated the Vietnamese Embassy’s support to the development of the Institute of Philology and the Vietnamese language department.

He expressed his delight at the publication of the book and considers it as an important step in promoting cultural cooperation between the two countries.

Petro suggested erecting statues of a number of Vietnamese poets and writers in the university’s garden to increase students’ understanding of Vietnamese literature history.
