In his closing speech, People’s Artist Le Tien Tho, Chairman of the Vietnam Stage Artists Association, said the event took place in a warm atmosphere of friendship among Vietnamese and international artists.

With 21 plays performed over the past 10 days, the festival was a significant opportunity for Vietnamese and foreign artists and art delegations to share and exchange professional experiences while the depth and beauty of emotion can be felt in each and every theatrical art work, he added.

The festival was co-organised by the Vietnam Stage Artists Association, the Department of Performing Arts under Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism, and the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports.

The festival saw the participation of 14 troupes from host Vietnam, while seven others from Hungary, Israel, India, the Republic of Korea, China, Singapore, and Greece brought seven plays to the show.

According to the organising board, the number of participants and plays this year increased significantly compared to previous events.
