Photo exhibition on Vietnam opens in Hungary

A photo exhibition on Vietnamese culture and people opened at the Corvin Cultural Centre in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, on March 11 as part of the activities to celebrate the 70th founding anniversary of the Vietnam-Hungary diplomatic ties this year.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Hungary Nguyen Tien Thuc spoke highly of the multifaceted cooperation between the two countries over the past 70 years.

The Ambassador also expressed his thanks to members of the Hungarian-Vietnamese Friendship Association and the Vietnamese community in Hungary for their positive support in promoting Vietnamese culture in Hungary.

As proud host of the exhibition, head of District 16 Kovács Péter appreciated the positive contributions of the Vietnamese community living in District 16 in particular and in Hungary in general.

The beautiful and diverse photos through the lenses of Hungarian photographers on display at the exhibition showed their affection and attraction for the people and culture of Vietnam, he added.

The event is scheduled to run until April 12.
