Located on December 19 Street in Hoan Kiem District, the book street, launched in 2017 , has received a warm response from local readers and international tourists, becoming a convenient location not only to browse and purchase books but also as a cultural and creative space.

In addition to books, visitors are also facilitated with support facilities and services at the book street, such as free Wi-Fi, outdoor reading chairs, public e-information stations, toilets and free water.

The book street features the participation of different publishing units serving the diverse demands of readers; including Kim Dong Publishing House selling books for children, Tien Phong Publishing House for teenagers, Women Publishing House for women, National Political Publishing House – Truth for those interested in politics, and Hanoi Publishing House for readers wishing to find information about the capital city.

Currently, book stores on the street as well as visitors are still strictly implementing measures to prevent and control the COVID-19 epidemic.
