Cultural activities to be held in remembrance of President Ho Chi Minh

A variety of cultural activities will be organised at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism, in Son Tay district on the outskirts of Hanoi, throughout this May with the aim of preserving and promoting the traditional cultural heritage of ethnic groups across Vietnam as well celebrate the 130th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19).

Activities will introduce visitors to the traditional cultural activities of the Tay, Dao, Mong, Thai, Muong, Kho Mu, Ta Oi, and Khmer ethnic groups, among others.

Meanwhile, song and dance performances, folk games and other traditional cultural activities performed by various ethnic groups will also take place.

The event is expected to honour the cultural heritage of Vietnam’s ethnic groups, whilst promoting cultural exchange and tourism, as well as contributing to fostering the strength of national unity.

Tourists entering the site are advised to strictly follow regulations on COVID-19 prevention like wearing masks, washing hands with soap or disinfectant solution and keeping a distance of at least two metres from others.
