After the success of the "Flying up dreams" art project for children launched in the summer of 2019, the Vietnam Youth Theatre has collaborated with the budget carrier VietJet Air to launch the second season of the project.

This is also the opening activity of the Hanoi-based theatre after a break due to COVID-19, featuring three children's stage programmes.

The Vietnam Circus Federation (VCF) has also launched a special circus show named “Pirates” after the break due to COVID-19 to serve young members of the public, with the participation of 50 artists from the federation.

According to People's Artist Tong Toan Thang, VCF Deputy Director, the federation will reduce ticket prices to make the events more accessible, while implementing sanitary measures to ensure epidemic prevention and control is maintained. Some of the money from ticket sales will be used to give 40 gifts to orphaned children at Thien Huong Pagoda in My Hao District, Hung Yen Province.

To celebrate the 65th anniversary of Hanoi Children's Palace, a series of activities for children have been launched, the highlight being the "Green Sprout" festival, encouraging each child to grow a green tree to protect the environment. Launched on May 31, the “Green Sprout" Festival has received more than 400 trees of all kinds.

The works are being exhibited at the Summer Programme 2020, launched on the evening of May 31 to celebrate the 65th anniversary of Hanoi Children's Palace. At the event, 20 students who overcame difficulties to study well were awarded scholarships.

Also on May 31, over 300 child patients undergoing treatment at the Hue Central Hospital in Thua Thien Hue Province were gifted presents from the Thua Thien Hue Fund for Children and other donors. Each gift included cash, cake, candy and milk worth from VND200,000-250,000 to support and encourage the disadvantaged child patients on the International Children's Day.
