It is open to dancers who are working at professional State-run and private dance troupes as well as students at dance training facilities nationwide, and freelance dancers aged 16 years and above.

The contest aims to discover young dancing talents while helping entrants to show their performing skills and exchange experience with their colleagues from across the country.

The competition features four categories, including classic and contemporary ballet for individuals, contemporary dance for individuals, folklore and traditional dance for both individuals and collectives, and modern street dance (such as Hip Hop, Popping, Breakdance, and Locking) for both individuals and collectives.

An awards ceremony for the best performers will take place at the Hanoi Opera House on October 17.
