Programme further promotes Vietnamese culture to Egyptian friends

The Vietnamese Embassy in Egypt held a programme in Alexandria, the country’s second-largest city, on December 17, to further promote Vietnamese culture to international friends.

The programme consisted of a photo exhibition on the landscapes and people of Vietnam, the screening of documentary films on the country’s cultural identities and its famous destinations.

On the occasion, Egyptian and international visitors had the chance to enjoy the traditional food and drinks of Vietnam, especially coffee.

Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Egypt Tran Thanh Cong said that the the two countries have signed several cooperation agreements on culture, creating a solid foundation for their friendship.

Cultural activities are the best way to enhance relations between the two nations and mutual understanding between the two peoples.
