The event was part of the Da Nang Festival – Celebration of New Year 2021.

During the festival, unique art programmes are being held every night along the Han River and at Asia Park from December 30, 2020, to January 2, 2021.

The event aims to restart tourism business activity in the new normal state, ensuring the realisation of the dual goals of COVID-19 prevention and socio-economic development.

Also on January 1, Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park Management Board coordinated with the Quang Binhprovincial Department of Tourism to hold a ceremony to welcome the first tourists to Phong Nha-Ke Bang national park, a world natural heritage recognised by the UNESCO.
