Winners of Dedication Music Awards 2021 announced

The winners of the 16th Dedication Music Awards were officially announced and honoured at a ceremony held in virtual form in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City on January 7.

Singer Tung Duong was given three awards in the categories ò “best singer of the year”, “best new album” and “best show of the year”.

The best new album of the year was “Human” with various rock songs composed mainly by Sa Huynh and Bui Caroon.

His live show “Human”, which won “best show of the year” award, highlighted Tung Duong’s powerful voice and aspiration to explore new areas of creativity.

Hoang Touliver, music director of the Rap Viet programme on Vie Channel – HTV2, won the “best producer” award.

Rap Viet, marking the rapid development of Vietnamese Rap music, was named best music series.

The “best music video of the year” award went to the video entitled “Di ve nha” (Coming back home) for its emotional music and simple lyrics. The video was directed by Hoang Thanh Dong; composed by Hua Kim Tuyen, Xuan Ty and Den; and performed by Den and Justa Tee.

The song “Hoa no khong mau”, composed by Nguyen Minh Cuong and performed by Hoai Lam, surpassed four other nominees to win the “best song of the year” title.

The “best new artist” award was presented to De Choat, winner of the 2020 Rap Viet contest.
