Following eight successful shows in Hanoi at the end of 2020 and in early 2021, the Vietnam Opera and Dance Theater will apply visual art technology, bringing the show to an even higher performance level with the participation of hundreds of live actors and orchestras throughout the show.

As planned, ‘Les Misérables’ will start its tour with three nights at the Hanoi Opera House (April 16-18). Following this, the musical will go to Buon Ma Thuot city (Dak Lak province) for the National Dance and Music Festival 2021. This is also considered an opportunity to bring the classic work to people in remote areas. After that, French Writer Victor Hugo’s classic work will be staged for three nights in Ho Chi Minh City.

During these challenging times with the COVID-19 pandemic, VNOB artists have taken inspiration from Victor Hugo’s masterpiece to bring Vietnamese audiences the beloved musical with the hope that music and the magic of the stage will unite people to once again stand in solidarity, love, and in the hope for a better future.

The piece will be delivered in English with Vietnamese subtitles featured on the screen.
