The event is being organised by the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communication and Education and the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Online Newspaper.

110 years ago, on June 5, 1911, from Nha Rong Wharf, young patriot Nguyen Tat Thanh set forth on a journey abroad on the ship Admiral Latouche Treville, headed for to France, beginning his journey for national salvation.

His life was a tireless journey to seek independence and freedom for his motherland, and happiness for his fellow countrymen. He founded and trained the glorious Communist Party of Vietnam, and together with our Party, he led the national revolutionary to gain many victories.

The ‘Nguoi La Niem Tin Tat Thang’ art programme aims to honour and pay tribute to the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh to the revolutionary cause of the Party and Vietnamese people as well as to the international communist and workers' movements.

It will feature art performances and documentaries praising the Party and President Ho Chi Minh, as well as shining examples of following and studying Uncle Ho’s ideology and morality.

The performances will be brought to the stage by popular artists including Thanh Lam, Dang Duong, Hoang Tung, Anh Tho, and Le Anh Dung.

Due to the complicated developments of COVID-19, the programme will be held without a live audience. It will be broadcast live at 8 PM today on Vietnam Television’s Channel 2.
