The exhibition connects viewers through two special meaningful exhibitions area, the first themed "studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and lifestyle - the work of the entire Party, people and army" as a strong affirmation of the determination of the whole country in association with the emulation movement "Living, fighting, working and studying to follow President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example".

The second part, entitled “Simple and noble examples”, showcases specific documents about 131 typical examples of the patriotic emulation movement in the fields of the economy, culture, and society; building the Party and government; and defence and security. Viewers have a chance to meet driver Nguyen Ngoc Manh, with simple clothes and shoes, who saved a three-year-old child who fell from the 12th floor of an apartment building in Hanoi, not long ago. The exhibition also features the touching journey of the love of Ngo Minh Hieu, a former student of Trieu Son 5 High School, Thanh Hoa, who has piggybacked his disabled friend to school for the past 10 years. Or the story of worker Pham Duc An in Ha Lam coal mine, Quang Ninh, who lit a fire for his colleagues in the spirit of "discipline and concentricity". He also directly participated in rescuing 12 workers trapped in a tunnel at the Da Dang - Da Chomo Hydropower Plant in Lam Dong. These are inspirational characters who spread love and sharing with a warm heart and practical actions so that people are more connected, and life is more beautiful and warm.

The year 2020 - 2021 can be considered a turbulent and volatile period for Vietnam as our country had to fight against the Covid-19 epidemic and deal with natural disasters, storms and floods. However, the hardships and challenges have brightened benevolent hearts and sharing, creating the motivation for new creations to be born.

Coming to the exhibition, looking at the photo of Vietnamese Heroic Mother Ngo Thi Quyt (Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City) with her old and thin hands, anyone would have tears in their eyes. Over 95 years old, she is still working with her old sewing machine to produce masks, hoping to contribute to epidemic prevention and control. With the same old sewing machine, for nearly 30 years, her needles and threads have created blankets to help the poor.

Viewers will also be impressed when they see photos of officers and soldiers of the 270th Combat Engineering Brigade (Military Region 5) and local forces covered with mud and soaked with rain to save the people of Nam Tra My district, in Quang Nam province from the rubble caused by storm No. 9. Visitors will also feel proud to know about the invention of Hoang Tuan Anh, Director of Vu Tru Xanh Company, who designed an automatic rice dispenser that could provide free rice 24/7 to people out of work and the poor during the Covid-19 pandemic.

According to Director of the Ho Chi Minh Museum Vu Manh Ha, the 60 collectives and 71 outstanding individuals introduced at the exhibition are typical examples of the will, life force, compassion, and courage of the Vietnamese people. These typical examples were carefully selected by the Department of Communication and Training of the Provincial Party Committees, Party Committees, the Party Committee of Central Agencies Bloc, the General Department of Politics under the Ministry of Defence, and the Department of Party and Political Work under the Ministry of Public Security from the over 300 outstanding individuals studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and lifestyle around the country in the 2020-2021 period.

This is the ninth year in a row the exhibition "Simple but noble examples" has been held at the Ho Chi Minh Museum. The exhibition is a practical activity to celebrate the 113th birthday anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890-2021); 110 years since Uncle Ho left the country to find a way to save the nation (June 5, 1911-2021); and the 5-year implementation of the 12th Politburo’s Directive No.05-CT/TU on enhancing the study and following of President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and lifestyle.

The exhibition not only contributes to honouring and encouraging “good people, good deeds” from around the country, but also gives viewers a deeper and more specific awareness of President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and lifestyle, encouraging more people to emulate Uncle Ho's example in their practical daily activities.

Doan Van Bau, Director of Department of Political Theory under the Party Central Communication and Education Department, added: “Taking place in the context of the whole country's efforts to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic, the exhibition contributes to spreading love and a culture of sharing amongst the people through the specific stories of these typical examples.".
