Design contest encouraging people to combat COVID-19 launched

A design contest, aiming to encourage people to create posters and illustrations which will convey hope for a brighter future and encouraging them to combat COVID-19, has been launched by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Vietnam.

The contest is for Vietnamese people of all ages. Posters and illustrations should be new creations and not previously submitted to competitions or exhibited publicly.

The contest organisers will receive entries until July 15. Each contestant can send one work to the contest at the email trungtamvanhoahanquoc@gmail.com.

The prizes will include a Special Prize worth VND40 million; first, second and third prizes worth VND25 million, VND 20 million and VND10 million, respectively. Two Talent prizes will win VND5 million.

The best entries will be honoured and displayed at an exhibition in August at the Republic of Korean Cultural Centre at 49 Nguyễn Du Street.

Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Vietnam, Park Noh-wan said that Vietnam and the ROK have been important partners in various fields over the past 30 years.

He believed the design contest will give a the people of the two countries an opportunity to join hands to build a strong friendship and win the battle against the coronavirus.
