“Black Beauty: His Grooms and Companions: The Autobiography of a Horse”, “The Jungle Book” and four classic works of Gianni Rodari: “The Blue Arrow”, “The Adventures of the Little Onion”, “Gelsomino in the Country of Liars” and “The Cake in the Sky” were introduced by Kim Dong Publishing House to readers this summer, through new translations and a more youthful and closer expression.

“Black Beauty: His Grooms and Companions: The Autobiography of a Horse” is the life-long work of female author Anna Sewell, making her one of the monuments of global children's literature.

“Black Beauty: His Grooms and Companions: The Autobiography of a Horse” published by the Kim Dong Publishing House in July 2021 is a completely new translation by Bui Bao Dung, a 9X generation translator. Bui Bao Dung said she wants to create a translation that is accurate, easy to understand, and natural for Vietnamese readers whether it's their first time reading the work or not.

Meanwhile, “The Jungle Book”, another classic British literary work, was also renewed and released in this summer. “The Jungle Book” is a collection of stories about the fascinating animal world by Rudyard Kipling - the 1907 Nobel Prize winner for Literature.

“The Jungle Book” translated by Sam Nam, also a 9X generation translator, brings a modern and youthful touch suitable for 21st century readers without losing the deep majestic and wild atmosphere of the original.

Along with the two works, four classic works from Gianni Rodari: “The Blue Arrow”, “The Adventures of the Little Onion”, “Gelsomino in the Country of Liars” and “The Cake in the Sky”, have a youthful appearance with illustrations by Vietnamese artists.

These are all most famous works of Gianni Rodari and have been entertaining Vietnamese readers since the 1980s.

Gianni Rodari is the most famous Italian children's author of the 20th century. His work has been translated into many languages around the world and won many awards, including the prestigious Hans Christian Andersen Award in 1970.
