Hanoi launches photo contest on new-style rural area building

The Hanoi Office of New Rural Development Programme Coordination, cooperated with the Vietnam Rural Development Science Association and the Photography and Life Club, to launch the photo contest "Mot Thoang Nong Thon Moi Ha Noi", on March 8.

The photo contest "Mot Thoang Nong Thon Moi Ha Noi" (A Glimpse of New-style Rural in Hanoi) aims to honour and recognise the changes in the appearance and life of villages in Hanoi, after more than ten years of implementing the National Target Programme, on building new-style rural areas.

The entries should reflect the highlights and achievements of Hanoi's new rural areas over the years, in all fields of politics, economy, culture, society and environment.

The contents of photos need to focus on rural landscapes, scenic spots, historical sites, craft villages, customs and traditions and cultural festivals of Hanoians.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Ngo Van Ngon - Deputy Chief of the Office in charge of the Hanoi Office of New Rural Development Programme Coordination, who is also the deputy head of the contest organising board, said that the contest photos must be composed in Hanoi's rural areas and in digital photo format, with a size from 5-8Mb.

Each entrant can submit a maximum of ten photos, that have not won any prior prizes or been displayed at other contests.

Entries should be sent to the organising board by August 30, 2022, through clbhiepanhkhoahocvacuocsong@gmail.com.

The photo contest is expected to have 21 prizes; including one first prize worth 7 million VND; two second prizes worth 5 million VND per prize; three third prizes worth 3 million VND per prize and 15 consolation prizes worth 1 million VND per prize.

The winners will also be presented with a Certificate from the organising board.
